Brush does not work on video layer

I have created a new blank video layer and want to start filling it in. However, when I click on the brush and try and draw, it creates a single dot and nothing else. I can draw fine on normal layers.

Hi raeh15765810,

Sorry that the brush tool is not working on a video layer while working in Photoshop.

Could you please let us know the version of Photoshop you're using and are you using a custom brush to paint the video layer?

Also, have you tried using File > Import > Video Frames to Layers? Does that make any difference to the brush tool?
