Brush edge obscured

After a few seconds of movement, the brush tool changes from a circle to a rotating series of bubbles. This makes it impossible to see the edge of the brush, and obscures the image on which I'm working. Any suggestions?

I have the exact same issue. Are you using a wacom by any chance?
