Brush modes and Mixer Brush dropdown menu shortcut to a Stylus button

Is it possible to assign a regular Brush dropdown menu to a Stylus button so it would appear right next to the cursor when I'm painting? Consequently would then also be possible to assign a Mixer Brush preset menu (dry, moist, wet, etc.) to act in the same manner?

Thanks

Correct answer Imaginerie

I can trigger the same with SHIFT+ Right click. (while the brush tool is active)

That you can assign to one of the button on the stylus

Apparently it doesn't work with the brush mix setttings, but maybe someone will add a tip to make it work?

Hi!

I'm assuming you are talking about Photoshop on a desktop with a graphic tablet.

I can certainly assign ANYTHING that is triggered by a shortcut to both of my stylus buttons on my tablet (XP PEN)

I can summon the brush settings by pressing F5 on the computer so I can assign that shortcut to my stylus button.
Regarding the mixer brush, I don't think it's possible because you'll have to scroll down multiple options.

I know that for example you can select blending modes with the keyboard shortcut "SHIFT+ALT+the key letter" (eg: SHIFT+ALT+M for multiply), which is a bit complex, but not for the mixing options (As far as I know)

These are the options available for you in the keyboard shortcuts menu for the mixer brush, once you get the shortcut, you can assign a stylus button to it.

Now, maybe there is a hidden possibility I don't know, or possibly a plug-in that supercedes Photoshop dropdown menus behaviour, but it doesn't ring a bell. A quick search in the plug-ins section of the marketplace tab of the CC app doesn't return anything.

The only simple thing I can see at the moment to select the mixer brush settings is to go and click in the dropdown menu and scroll up and down in the list (which could be assigned as a top/bottom shortcut on the stylus, using the up/down arrows of the keyboard as a trigger).

It also very much depends what your tablet is, to be honest (some have additional Xpress keys that can be combined with the stylus buttons for alternative shortcuts)

Hello,

thanks a bunch for replying, while what you pointed out about any shortcuts being assignable to a pen button is really helpful in its own way, my question still stands - but only perhaps because I've done a poor job explaining what I mean. What I'm looking for is a way to do what you can see on the screenshot below. Now if we don't find an answer I will certainly try to get in touch with the author of this tutorial I'm watching and ask him, but I figured to ask the community beforhand.
