Question

Brush panel frozen in place

For some reason, I can't reposition my brush panel, it opens in one location and though I can resize it, it will not move. Very frustrating, blocks the screen. Should be an easy fix.

When you have one of the painting tools selected you can right click any where in the

document area to bring up the Brush Preset Picker.

If you go to Window>Brushes, then you can leave the Brush Preset Picker panel open and move it around.

The upper left panel. The other panel is mobile but, the one on the left pops up when the icon is clicked. Kind of bummed about having to redo all this again but, the issue was mine yesterday. I also just realized I lost all my plugins in PS too so, I'll have to figure out how to reinstall them so they pop up in Lightroom when envoked.

The Brush Preset Picker that you open from the tool options bar can only be resized, but not moved.

Two other ways to access the Brush Preset Picker

1. Right click any where inside the document area.

2. Go to Window>Brushes, which can be moved and resized at will.

In the steps we supply on the maual preset fix, it is suggested that you save the original on your desktop to replace if it doesn't work so you do in fact save your prefs and settings, if you did that you can drag them back in.

Are you talking about upper left or from the right panel?

Wierd, First off due to my removing my Settings folder yesterday, I lost my workspace setup, my own brushes, patterns, and apparently some settings. Good to have you back, tho. Anyway, when I click the brush icon on the top menu, the brush panel opens in one location and I can't move it soooooo it's blocking my screen. It's just stuck in place. There's no screenshot to show really, just the panel open.

Hi again @Brad22414184ax00 we will assume you are not on Ps 24.4.1 after the last issue, yes?

Have you restarted your computer? Could you share a video of what is happening?
