Brush Smoothing Crash

I had days and days of crashing on my new workstation and finally, with the help of the Adobe Forum included, managed to isolate the problem to the SMOOTHING  option for brushes. When painting, using my Wacom stylus, with Smoothing checked ON, I get an absolute freeze which requires a hard quit.

Does adobe intend to address this? I would like to hear from Adobe on this. Hopefully this will be fixed in one of the upcoming Photoshop releases.

I am not the only one experiencing the Smoothing crash, as there are previous threads on this known issue.

I did have problem before as well, but I found the WinTab workaround does the trick if you're on Windows.

You will need to disable Windows Ink

Image result for wacom windows ink

    and if you go on

    C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 Settings

      Create a file named:

    PSUserConfig.txt

    And write this inside:

    # Use WinTab

    UseSystemStylus 0

This is not Adobe support and they do not make public their plans.  You also did not state what Platform or Photoshop version.  Adobe only make updates to the current Photoshop version. I do not seem to have a hang problem with Photoshop CC 2019 with its latest update on my Windows 10 Workstation with the Latest Windows 10 updates using my Wacom Intuos Pro with the latest Wacon drivers.  I would also not state that I can use Adobe's  Pull string mode well

Turning off Adobe smoothing and turning on Lazy Nezumi Pro smoothing works better than Adobe smoothing.

Adobe Cloud, auto update on. (most recent PSD update)
Windows 10 Pro, auto update on.
    Wacom Bamboo, latest driver.

It is definitely smoothing, I spent some time isolating it. Absolutely freezes with smoothing on, no question.
I went through every brush and turned OFF smoothing, not sure if it comes back ON if you create a new brush, I'll have to try it.

This looks great, I might try this and see if there is some improvement.

    Thanks
