Hi, when I'm moving my brush in PS the brush stroke does not cover the same distance as the actual movement. This only happens when I move my hand quickly. The brush stroke is not slow or lagging, it just doesn't cover the same distance as the stroke I made with my hand and kinda stops half way.
I'm working with the latest PS version on a new Mac Mini. And I'm not using a different brush setting or a brush I've not used before.
I'm - of course - on the clock with a deadline looming. I can't work like this, unless I decide to move my hand very slowly, which really isn't an option. So, if anyone has an any idea how I can fix this, it would be much appreciated!! 🙂
Thanks!
JP

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Do you have a high Smoothing % in the Brush Tool options?

Hi Jeff, the setting is reasonably high. But this was not a problem before. This problem occured out of the blue, I updated to the current PS 2025 version and hoped for an improvement, but got none.
It also affects all brushes even the easy ones that never cause trouble.
It also doesn't seem to be the Cintiq causing the problem.
