Brush Tool Icon is Crosshair

Can someone explain why the brush tool icon that's in use in the workspace will sometimes appear as a crosshair instead of a circle?  I have changed the size of the brush from very small up to very large to ensure I haven't selected a brush size that isn't too small to be seen or to large to be outside the view of the workspace?

Thanks

Hello, the Caps Lock key might be pressed down, and it switches the cursors...

Yes, it was the caps lock. Another mystery solved. Thank you.

You are very welcome... So many switches to trigger, when you think most keyboard keys have several functions thanks to the modifier keys, that can be combined!
Stick around, and help when you can, you'll learn a lot along the way...

Open Preferences > Cursors and select either Normal or Full size

For your information, it is considered bad etiquette to use all capital letters when posting to web forums.  It is like SHOUTING.

Absolutely. I had just learnto use the caps lock to switch the icon brush back to curcle. sorry about that.

Your suggestion got me right back where I needed to be. Thank you very much.

Also, the cursor will switch to the crosshair, if the brush is larger than what can be shown of the document.
