Brush tool turns into pointer cursor and I can't draw

Sometimes I am drawing with the brush tool and my cursor suddenly turns into a pointer cursor, usually after I zoomed in or out. I then can't draw anymore until I close Photoshop and open it again. It seems to happen randomly, sometimes I can draw for a few hours and this doesn't happen, other times it happens every few minutes and I have to keep closing and opening Photoshop. It's really annoying and makes my motivation to draw go away...

I looked it up and couldn't find anyone with similar problems.

I use version 23.0.2 now, but I had this problem before that as well (don't know when anymore though). I am on Windows 10 Home version 20H2

I use a Wacom Intuos.

Go to Preferences > Tools... and uncheck "Enable Flick Panning" off. Does the problem go away?

I'd have to check, but I don't really know how to trigger the problem. I'll try it out and let you know if it did anything.
