Brush Zoom & Alt Resize - Lag - Photoshop

As of lately I have problems using the resize with the brush in Photoshop.
When I try to resize the brush by holding alt and scrolling it feels very laggy.
If I resize, and try to paint, I have 1-2 seconds of delay before it starts adding color.
Photoshop version 2021 - version 22.3 on a mac with good hardware.
mac os Mojave - version 10.14.6.

Here is a short video of how it looks.

I get the same result if I use the tablet or the mouse.
Kind of takes the joy from painting as of now as it's quite a laggy experience 😞

Anyone has suggestions on how to solve it?
Regards!

If you go to Preferences > Performance... What does the dialog look like? Is Use Graphics Processor checked?
