I'm assuming this has to be a bug but if it's possible to fix I'd like to know how. I have a layer with a stroke effect, and for some reason when I try to draw in another layer with the line crossing over the stroked line, it simply erases that area of the stroke as well as the line I just drew. In the navigator, it appears that a rectangular "hole" is cut out of my canvas depending on how large the line was. It was initially just happening with layers above the stroke line, but now below too. As of now I seem to be able to draw a line that doesn't touch the stroke line, and move it with the transform tool to be under the stroke and it'll work normally. But if I try to move it WITHOUT the transform tool, or move the layer itself above once positioned, the glitch happens. I used to be able to draw the intersecting line below then move the layer above, but this doesn't work anymore. Any idea what's going on?
Note: Once I rasterize the layer the problem goes away (as of now at least), but for now I need to be able to have it unrasterized while I work.

New weird development, if I then draw in the next layer above then it... brings that area back?? Even weirder, if I create a new layer UNDER the glitched line layer, it miraculaously restores the whole line as if nothing happened.

So... turns out the same thing is happening when I use a clipping layer, regardless of if the layer it's attatched to is a stroked layer or not

Hi! You are right! This is a strange thing! What version of Photoshop are your running? Have you upgraded anything just before this started happening? Have you checked to see if your Graphics processor card is up to date?
You can turn off the Graphics Processor card in your preferences: Preferences>Performance, and uncheck the Graphics Processor checkbox. Restart Photoshop and see if the issue is still happening. If it is, you can turn your GPU card back on and restart. If it stops, then you might want to check the GP card manufacturer to see if there is an update. Here is information on Troubleshooting your GP card: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html
If it is not the Graphics Processor, then I would suggest that you try and reset your preferences to see if it will clear our any preferences that may have been corrupted. Here is a help doc to refer to: https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/photoshop/using/preferences.html
Let us know if either of these help of if the problem still persists?
Michelle
