Not sure why this is in Photoshop forum but ok.

I'm a working pro with 38 years of experience, and can tell you that the lens has little to do with the salability of your photos. Your photographic and marketing skills will be what matters.

Having said that, the Canon 75-300mm lens is cheap, slow, and has poor image quality. You are far better off learning to use the 50mm and going from there.

    Good luck!

I've had a sideline as a stock photographer for 13 years. The 50mm lens is a great all-around lens to have. It gives you the sharpness necessary for pro level photos and will see you through many different situations. It's the one you need if you're just getting one and/or just starting out. Avoid kit lenses.

@Nizar-Jendoubi First, what camera body you are using? A zoom lens is useful if you plan to take a variety of images in all types of settings but when set at full zoom, low cost lenses typically fail in the sharpness category. Zoom lenses should include image stabilization and have good sharpness ratings. I like a 50mm lens for photojournalism and environmental portraits. The answer depends on what you want to achieve and if your photography ambitions lean toward hobby or business applications.

This should be asked in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements... which do you use?
