camera raw sliders

Good Morning

When I start a new project I go to camera raw and make some adjustments, then I go into photoshop and make some adjustments, I sometimes want to go back to Camera Raw, when I do my sliders have reset. I was wondering if there was a way ofstoppimg that from happening.

If after editing (with a slider), you click "Done", the setting should stick. 

If after getting you click Open, then do whatever with the opened image, try opening the original raw again, the settings too should stick. 

If this isn't the case: 

Try resetting the Camera Raw preferences:
Hold down the Command key and select Photoshop > Preferences > Camera Raw (macOS) or hold down the Ctrl key and select Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw (Windows).
Click Yes in the dialog that asks "Delete the Camera

Hi, in Camera Raw are you sending the Raw file as a smart object in Photoshop, by holding shift as you click on Open? If you don't, the file is baked as pixels, and you open a debayered layer is ACR as a filter, therefore with zeroed sliders.

I'm having exactly the opposite problem.  After using sliders to adjust things in a mask, the sliders don't reset, even though I have checked the button.  Is this a matter of also needing to click "done" after edting?
