Can anyone help with font size?

I was trying to watermark a photo but the font is tiny and I've tried changing font size but it is making no difference

Hi there,

As the font is looking small, could you please let us know the exact size of the document?

Could you try creating a new document and then try typing and let us know if you're able to change the text size there?

Go to Image > Image Size.

What is the height, width and resolution of your image?

What is the font size that looks tiny?

Something doesn't seem right, but for a quick fix choose Edit > Transform > Scale and drag out one of the corner handles.

When the work is complete, go back and find the cause of the current problem.

I have shut it down now as it was freezing up, but will have a go at fixing it in the morning, thank you

If you already used Transform on the text, then changing the type size stops working. It will work correctly on text layers that have not been transformed.

If you are trying to record an action to doe a text watermark its hade to do for different size  and resolution images  You need to use a text size approbate foe the current image size and resolution.   In my crafting Actions package  I include a utility script  I wrote to be used in actions twice.  Its a Save and Resort script. the first time the action run the script the script save the document current resolution and ruler units. The second time the script set the documents resolution to the saved resolution and set the ruler units to the saved ruler units.  Between the two uses the Action can change the  image size to something like 8" wide without resample.  All that changes is the Print Resolution.  Then action can add the text watermark approbate  for an image 8" wide.  When the script restores the resolution and ruler units when it runs the second time the document will be back to the original size and print resolution.  The  added text watermark will scale along with the image for the original image size.

Thank you to all of you who gave advice 🙂 I went on to watermark another photo a few minutes ago and it is all working normally again!
