Question

Can't access Warp Text

I've searched the boards with no effective solution. My Text Warp button is not available when I highlight the text. In fact, the little T gets replaced by a white circle with a line through it. When I atempt to open the Warp Text tool trough the drop down menus, it does the same thing. No tool is launched. The operation is rejected and ignored. I unchecked the Enable Narrow Options bar with no affect. I'm running Macbook Sonoma 14.5 and Photoshop 2025 26.1.0

Can you help me?

It's really odd that the Warp icon is missing from your screenshot.

Try Reset Tool.

Highlighting the text might be your issue. I believe you have to do the entire layer or all the text.

I'm not aware of a way to purposely disable Warp Text. It's strange that the button is missing from the Options bar and not simply greyed out. Also, that the menu item is there, not greyed out, and doesn't function. In these types of cases, where things are not behaving correctly, it is best to reset the preferences, incase there is a weird setting somewhere (including corruption in the file which creates impossible states for the application). https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#reset-preferences

One think I'm noticing from your screen shot is that the document title and info is missing from the top of the document window. Did you remove that when adding the arrow and before posting? If not, that would be another area of concern.

Of course, as soon as I post this, I start seeing the behavior on my end as well. I'm not sure what triggered it, but I can't get it to stop. I know I wasn't seeing it before. I have Photoshop open side-by-side on my Win and Mac machines and I'm seeing it on one but not the other. I'll keep poking at it and see what triggers it and how to clear it.

I will say this, resetting my preferences made it work again.

Type layers have limited Free Transform options.  Make the layer a Smart Object, and you'll have full control.
