Question

Can't create clipping mask for font layers

Hi, this is something I noticed just recently because I am using more of the layer clipping mask more often with fonts

Basically, the options for creating clipping mask for fonts layers are not available, though I can get around it by selecting another layer along with the font layer and creating it together with it. Though it will be more helpful if I don't need to do that at all

If it ever was in the context menu, it was prior to PS 2019.

Do either of these instead:
Layer menu > Create Clipping Mask
Hold Alt key and click in between the layers in the layers panel
Use the KBSC: Alt+Ctrl+G

I only notice this recently as I usually doesn't handle jobs with much fonts layers.

This even happen during my workard method, the option to create the clipping mask simply don't appear if I right click on the font layer, it only appears for the normal layer.

Hi @leosn56185363 curious if you have done this workflow for a while and only now are noticinig this issue, or if this is a new thing you have not done before?

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
