Can't create new, or open existing projects in Photoshop

About a month ago, Adobe asked me to install AGS. I declined, and now Photoshop opens and shows all my recent projects, but I can no longer open any projects, open images, or create projects in Photoshop.

I have uninstalled all Adobe products from my computer, run the cleaner, and reinstalled no avail. I've deleted my Photoshop preferences, my scratch disk has 370 GB free, and my system dump from Photoshop is attached.

Apologies for forgetting this in the initial post:

I have tried the legacy New Document interface too.

The menu that lets me configure a new projects opens, it's just that nothing happens when I try to continue from the new document interface.

Photoshop opens when I try to open an image or project, but it just sits at the recent projects screen.
