I like to make gifs from videos but these days I got a problem with importing video clips. I always use the "import videoframes in layers" function. With 1080p vids it's no problem but it doesn't work with higher resolutions (4k) vids.. but they are all mp4 (I know it doesn't work with mkv files etc) so I don't know why it doesn't work? it always says "file can't be opened". first I thought maybe something wrong with the file, so I tried again with another 4k file but the same problem.
I use windows 11 and the newest PS version (v 23.1.1) on a HP envy x360 laptop if that is of relevance.
