Can’t make clipping mask- should be easy????

Trying to apply art to template- all working until clipping- I used the correct directions but continue to get inversion if clipping mask on template below???? It's watercolor art imported that I have to correct dimensions.

Ok after researching adjustment layers +knowing I'm inverting the clipping mask ~ I found a Cmd I ( invert) to do the opposite and it worked!!!🎉🎉

Hi @Jules3Palms you are clipping to the adjustment layer which is inverted. Move the layer order to place your clipping directly above the image layer and try again.

    I feel stupid but what is an adjustment layer? I'm positioned exactly with art right above clipping desired layer ... I'm simply trying to get this mock up for a contest made...
