Can't open ARW files in Photoshop 2020

New Here ,
Nov 18, 2019 Nov 18, 2019

In the past, to edit photos that I took in ARW format, I would open the batch in Photoshop which would open them all in RAW allowing my to browse the images and delete what I didn't want to keep and then edit the ones I chose to keep.

Now I just tried opening my newest batch in Photoshop 2020 and I don't see the option allowed to open them in Photoshop. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Thanks

Hi there,

Sorry that you canot edit your ARW images in Photoshop 2020.

Are you getting any specific error message while loading images? Were you able to open these set of images in previous version of Photoshop?

Thanks,

Akash

I use Canon Cameras so my RAW  Files are CR2 files. I do not seem to have a problem like you with Ps 2020 and ACR 12.  Menu File>Open Select CR2 Files and click Open seems to work well on Windows 10. You use a Mac which OS version???.

One way of opening ARW files in Photoshop is to drag the ARW file onto the Photoshop icon in the Doc. It should open in the RAW editor.
