I work with the old photoshop CS5 and it's enough most of the time. But i can't open my RAW files. sooo i downloadet the DNG Converter from Adobe, installed it and tried to open it...but nothing happend. I lookd at the Task manager and when i open it, it's open for like a second in the background and then it closes itself with no error message or something else...why?! It can't be my PC because i had this issue on my old PC as well. Do i need the new Photoshop version to open it?

The DNG converter is a free standalone tool that does not require any version of any other paying or free software from Adobe to run.

So, Ps is not at the basis of your problem. But there may well be library conflicts on your computer as Ps CS5 is old software now.

No, that sounds like an issue with the DNG Converter itself. What's your operating system? Does it meet the requirements? (macOS 10.13-10.15 or Windows 10 and Windows 7 SP1, 64-bit only)

Moved to Lightroom Classic, as there have been other posts here about this particular tool.

But this is not a Lightroom Classic issue. It ought to go in the "Get Started" forum.
