Can't Print -- Apple M1 | Big Sur 11.1 | Photoshop 21.1.0

Just what the title says.  I have pinter drivers installed, my system sees the printer & I have no problem printing in other applications.  

If I try to print in Photoshop, I get all the normal dialogue boxes, Photoshop sees the printer and I can otherwise interact with it (check supplies, etc.) and everything appears to be fine including when I hit 'print'.  But nothing is printed and nothing shows up in the print queue.  No errors reported.

Have you tried resetting preferences? Although user preferences do not contain print settings, resetting also restores Photoshop's internal preferences which are saved when Photoshop closes. If they become corrupt then various issues can occur. [Thx DavesCM]

If that doesn’t help it may be time to reinstall photoshop. Use the Adobe CC cleaner tool to remove all traces first.

Uninstall photoshop BUT make sure to choose the option “Yes, remove app preference”.

Once that process finishes, start the installation process and look into the “Advanced Options”. Uncheck “Import previous settings and preferences” and choose to “Remove old versions”.

I have not tried any reinstalling but this was a brand new computer and a brand new fresh install with Creative Cloud apps the first things to be installed...  This was not a migration - I was starting from scratch.  If no one else is experiencing this issue I guess I'll have to go through uninstall/reinstall process.

Bought a new Mac Studio earlier this month and, unbelievably, this problem has occurred again!  Latest Mac OS, latest CC, latest Photohop.  Same exact symptoms.  Go to print, it goes though the process and reports no issues but nothing gets printed.  If I save the PSD as a PDF and open it in Preview, I can print from there no problem )ame as before).  

In fact, so far every application I've tried has no problem printing except for Photoshop.  I did eventually figure it out last time but not sure if it was any of the advice given here and, of course, I never came back to update or confirm the solution.  Sigh.  Karma.

Yes, resetting preferences does fix the problem.  Which is weird because this isn;t a migration or restore from back up.  This is was a fresh install of everyting on a brand new computer and my preferences were not brought over from my other computer  -  I manually went through and changed the few things I prefer differently with Photoshop.   

As a shortcut for anyone else encountering this problem, you hold down command+option+shift while launching Photoshop and you'll be asked if you want to reset preferences via a dialogue box.

Hi, @Shamer thank you for that additional info.

You are right that the shortcut deletes the preferences, but I would rather suggest users to move the preferences folder, in case it does not fix their issues, or if they have unsaved actions, presets, or lots of preferences they tweaked. etc.
