Can't save as a jpg in March 2023 update

Please help - I'm having huge saving issues. 

I have the 24.2.0 release. 

When I upgraded to the 22. I came across the 'save a copy' function that was then required to save as a jpeg or a png. This worked fine despite being annoying. Since upgrading again to the 24, I have lost all ability to save as these options. Even if I do 'save a copy'. I have read all previous conversations I can find and tried to follow recommendations. I have been to file handling and ensured legacy is ticked and save to original folder is too. There is nothing in my file that PSD wouldn't support. 

I'm not the most PSD literate but I am learning and use it daily. If anyone can help it would be enormously appreciated. This is hinding my day to day work now and I don't know what to do.
