can't see image

I have opened an image from bridge but I can't see it in PS, the image is there at the top but the picture isn't displaying in the workspace, I must have changed a setting or something, can anyone help me figure out how to see the picture? I see it in Bridge, and the history tab in PS shows the pic is there, but can't see the actual picture in the big grey space in the workspace.

One of the Adobe tech’s had to change my underlying permissions. Changing the preferences did not work for me. The tech was very helpful and fixed the problem.

I think it might help if you can post a screen capture showing the image in Bridge and also your Photoshop window once you've tried to open it.

    A couple quick questions:

    What is the file format?

Have you tried opening the file from Photoshop (File > Open) and not Bridge?

I shoot in RAW so whether I use Bridge or just open from PS a Camera Raw box comes up.  I select "open image" from there, and it used to open up in PS.  Now, in PS I can see the file name at the top, can see the picture in the history/background but the image itself isn't in the workspace.  Thank so much for replying! I hope you can help.  I tried to reset preferences and it doesn't seem to do anything.  I'm using Windows 10, with Creative Cloud Photoshop, just recently updated from 2017 to 2018.
