Hi. I am learning photoshop as I go, working on a project.

I applied several filters to a layer, got it just right, and now I cannot find those filters listed below layers; and of course, I can't remember the filters to replicate. They are still applied to the layer, but there is no dropdown to view or copy them. I've tried everything I can think of, scoured forums for days. It's just a regular photo I gave an oil painted filter, a red hue, and several other things.

Screenshot attached (there is the layer, but filters are MIA). Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated. I know it's something incredibly simple, but still...Screen Shot 2022-06-07 at 2.02.07 PM.pngexpand image

Try double-clicking the smart object (Layer 2). It will open the PSB file that may contain your layers with filters and/or layer styles if the layer hasn't been flattened. The reason I suspect they may be in that smart object is because the layer would show overlapping circles for smart filters, fx for Layer Styles, and/or overlapping squares for Blend If on the far right.

If the layer was flattened before being converted to a smart object and you haven't closed the document yet, you could try looking in your History panel (Window > History) to get more info on what you applied and step back by clicking on a step.

Please explain the exact procedure; did you convert the Layer to Smart Object before applying the Filter/s?

Are you looking for filter list below layer? It appears when you apply filter to Smart Object layer after converting layer to Smart Object or after placing image as Smart Object layer. From your screenshots it is obvious that none of filters is applied to Smart Object layer after its creation.

List with Smart Filters can be collapsed but in that case you will have visual indicators (see screenshot below)
