Hi Adobe Community,

Two days ago my Adobe Photoshop updated to the new version and now I cannot blend images together or remove borders where as before this update I was able to composite images no problem before this update was pushed out.

Does anyone know how to fix this? thank you

What is failing to work for you? Masking, clearing areas. How are you trying to composite your images that is failing to work correctly?

Hi JJMack,

Thank you for the quick reply. Below are the steps that I am using which are the same ones in the past.

1. Open file for image 1

2. Place Embedded Image 2 (Resize it and click the check icon in the top tool bar)

3. Add a layer mask onto image 2

4. With layer mask selecting use either paint brush or spot healing brush. I make sure that the default foreground color is black to hide and background color is white. When i paint over various sections it doesnt remove that part like before i can still see the outline and then a few seconds later that section is automatically brought back to the orgininal without me taking any action.

5. I have also done steps 1-3 and then tired blending modes on a layer mask for image 2 and the same thing happens.

Do not use the healing brush to hide use a soft black brush to hide and a soft white brush to reveal.
