It just occurred to me that it might be a problem with my laptop software itself.

The laptop is an ASUS and the problem occured after an upgrade.

As far as the problem is concerned, there is no response whatsoever when I try to launch Photoshop.

I can't even uninstall it as I get a message to close it first. I suspect there is some setting in the background either in the Asus settings or in photoshop which is preventingme from working with it.
