Cannot Save Photoshop Edits Back to Lightroom

I just purchased a new Macbook and have installed Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC. When in Lightroom, I can choose to edit my photo in Photoshop. However, when I'm finished with my edits in Photoshop and press "Save" (not Save As), the TIFF options dialogue box pops up. I cannot get it to return the edited image back to Lightroom by simply selecting "Save" and closing the image. I've attempted to re-install both applications to no avail.

I've done this hundreds of times on my old Macbook with no issues, so I'm not sure what I'm missing here...

Has anyone found a solution, I have the same issue lately after I uninstalled the Beta version. All other plugins work from Lightroom to topaz, or On1 but not Photoshop. I've done what I can that includes reinstalling OS on my macbook. Somehow the back and forth between LRC and PS works perfectly on my windows 10 desktop.

Did you get a resolution? I'm having this same issue

Same issue, is there a resolution? I cannot get my files save back into Lightroom, using Creative cloud versions of both apps.

Try this: Use the CC application and do an un install of both LR and PS but keep prefs when asked.

Use the CC application and install Photoshop first, then LR. The order is sometimes important in cleaning up the 'link' between the two, worth a try.

You should only have to use "Save" and the PS doc should be saved based on the LR preferences for "Edit In".

If you have set Compression to ZIP or LZW in Lightroom's External editing preferences, that might be the reason the Tiff options dialog comes up. Saving should still work, but if it doesn't, try setting compression to None in the LR preferences.

Yes, of course, disregard what I wrote. You turn it off in Lightroom, not the TIFF options dialog. (I always have all compression off).

Turn off all compression in the TIFF dialog and try again.

You can also try to change Lightroom preferences from TIFF to PSD and try that (Lr Preferences > External Editing).

I've moved this from the Using the Community forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Photoshop forum so that proper help can be offered.
