I am having an issue with the "quick export as PNG" within an action.
The purpose of this action was to quickly resize PNGs at half size and export them quickly.
To make it short, the action went as followed:
- Image size: 50%
- Quick Export as PNG ( would automatically overwrite the old file )
- Close
This action was working just fine this morning, but while testing for another export method using the "export for web legacy" I deleted my action. At the time I thought nothing more of it, I would just re-record it afterwards if I want to go back to this method. But now that I want to go back to it, photoshop won't let me do it. The "quick export as PNG" action just won't record itself.
Did anyone ever experienced this issue? Did I just find a bug or do I need to adjust a setting I am not aware of to make it work again? I am using 23.3.2 btw.
Alright, I was certain I was using the "quick export as PNG" command, but it looks like it was probably simply the save command instead. I feel a bit silly now, thank you all for your time!

Quick Export is not recordable from its introduction. I guess you have used some other way to save as PNG. Try using Save for Web or Export > Layers to Files.

Adobe is aware that Export As/Quick Export can't be recorded into an action or used with scripts, apparently it is on the to do list.

Thank you for your answer, I will try to figure out what I did then.
