Just wondering when we will get to be able to bring our RAW (Newer) CR3 files from the new Canon R5c into Photoshop. At the moment its only the older R5 files we can bring in. Thanks in anticipation. Kevin

EDIT: Support for Canon R5C has been added as of 11 April.

Hi Kevin,

Adobe says here that they last updated cameras in February 2022

https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

On this page they say that put out updates approximately once per quarter, about every 90 days.

https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/why-is-my-camera-not-supported.html

Based on that information, I would venture a guess that the next updates will be in May, give or take a few weeks. Adobe will announce it on these helpx pages when your new camera has been tested and then added. Adobe generally does not pre-announce, and volunteers don't have any inside information.

Today new releases of Lightroom (11.3) and CameraRAW (14.3) were published.

These versions supported the RAW files of the Canon R5c

Adobe are slack - no reply as its a simple common sence answer - just give me a date if and when you will have a Raw CR3 ad-on to your Adobe Raw  for Canon R5c - how easy is that and your help department sent me here - for what reason I do not understand.

Simple question!!! world be nice to get a simple answer

Regards

Kevin

Thanks for that Jane - the issue I have is: Why could not customer service
simply tell me that instead of me wasting hours on their help page and
going around in circles to no avail.

Its... a simple question that requires a simple answer -I'm satisfied with
what you are saying and you don't even work for Adobe.

I've been an adobe client since they started - sorry to say but it's an
average support team these days - if only they understood better what the
term "Lifetime client'' meant - sure only to big corps but
unfortunately not the little guys.

Thank you for common sense
Kevin
