Canvas Freezes after using space bar to pan, scroll zoom, brush tool and rotate canvas tool in rapid succession
Photoshop version 23.4.1 on WINDOWS 10
Steps to recreate-
I've had this issue for half a year and I have yet to find a reliable way to make it work but I have narrowed it down. This has happened daily on both my work computer and my custom built desktop pc, both of which have over 16 gb of ram and capable graphics cards and cpus. Both on Windows 10.
1. Open any decent sized file in rgb mode (15 mb to 200 mb)
2. Use the following tools in quick succession. Brush tool (make a mark on the canvas), immediately pan using the spacebar, immediately zoom in or out using the scroll wheel, immediately make another brush stroke. Rinse and repeat, maybe throw a canvas rotation while panning in there.
3. If successful, any interaction with the canvas will freeze, but you can still click the UI around the canvas and have it react. You can still save the document, and once you exit and reopen photoshop and the document you just saved, it should be back to normal.
I encounter this a lot because I paint with photoshop on a cintiq and so this rapid drawing behavior is pretty common for me.

Hi @GurSmi sorry to hear this. You mention you paint with a Cintiq, so do you have this same issue if the tablet is NOT connected?
Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:
Restore your preferences using this manual method:
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually
Does it work correctly?
If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.
It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
Thank you,
