Capture filters, actions and plugins from previous version

Windows 10/64 up-to-date

My copy of windows after my internet went down decided to wipe my old desktop and some programs including Photoshop, so I now have a fully-functional latest version of PS running — without my filters, custom actions and plugins. The good news is I still have PS 2021 on the machine which has all of the above. How can I capture and install the filters, actions and plugins to the new 2022?

Thanks to those who know more than me,

Joe

Correct answer Stephen Marsh

There is an Edit > Presets > Migrate Presets script.

I created a couple of scripts to help migrate saved presets and other settings files:

https://github.com/MarshySwamp/Backup-Photoshop-Settings-Universal

https://github.com/MarshySwamp/Open-Photoshop-Presets-Scripts-Folder-Universal

Actions are also covered in my blogpost:

Filters/plug-ins often need to be reinstalled and can't be copied in all cases as they need to be licensed or may install supporting elements in other locations.

Hope this helps!
