CC 2017 spell checker error message

New Here ,
Dec 23, 2016 Dec 23, 2016

I have the latest version of Photoshop, CC 2017.0.1 loaded. Win 7 64, 32 gb of ram. English is the set language of choice.

Randomly and with frequently when doing a spell check I get an error "can not complete request because of program error." The appears as it finds the first word in question.

It is random, seems sometimes to be font size related, but not always. it is not unique to one type face or font family. It is not related to a corrupt font or a font from a smaller foundry. I can spell check an image and get the error, then move the text to a blank doc and it passes and sometimes that does not have an effect either. Happens with our with out images or graphics. Not using glyphs or symbols either.

By pressing the escape key a number of times the error and spell check close without checking.

Frustrating.

Anybody got an idea to the cause? Or better yet a fix?

Phil

Done this and it makes no difference to the failing of spell check. I have tried it once again and I still get the error message that clears out with the escape key.

Sorry I am slow getting back to this, holiday over load.

Phil
