I'm trying to do a free transform (of a smart object).
Clearly the new version has changed the way constrains change. I've found that shift now stops proportional, that's new. I'm sure I can get used to that...
What I can't figure out how to do is to have completely unconstrained control of the corner handles. It seems to be locked onto various constrains. Mostly it's the trying to line up with the existing edges that's making it hard.
I need very fine control, but can't seem to get it stop snapping to place I don't want it to go to.
How do I get it to knock it off (I feel like it used to be option click a handle and then hold control — but might be mis-remembering — my hands know how to do these things not me)?

Okay answered my own question, but I think it's an error.
Having "Extras" checked (view menu), seems to be it. Very different behaviour when check or unchecked.
Do I report as a bug somewhere?

On Mac, just after the begining of the move, without release your mouse, press control key and, snapping is gone... Even if 'Extra' is checked...

Sorry for the delay, finally had a moment to check...
I am getting this snap behaviour when moving just one corner handle (after CMD+Click), option doesn't override it. The only way to get the snap to stop affecting is with by unchecking "extras"...Has to be an unintended behaviour.

Hmmm. Can't reproduce in a new document.
I'm trying to free transform just one corner of a rectangle and it always snaps to either the horizontal or the vertical. Extra's or no extras. Snap on or off, Control, option, command, shift... The handle is just locked to either the vertical or the horizontal.
I'm going to go try the other computer.
