I am getting an error when I launch Photoshop. It says CEPHtmlEngine.exe - No Disk. Please insert a disk into drive D:. I am current on my version of PS, and rebooting the computer didn't help either. Any advice appreciated and thanks in advance for your help.

I have the same problem with InDesign CC 2018 and tried all the so called solutions, to no avail.

My solution to stop this error message has been to put a blank disc in my disc drive and I am no longer getting this error message, as I hardly ever use the DVD-rom its not a problem to leave a disk in it..

I tried opening the app without a disc in the drive and the error message appeared again, closed the app, put the disc back in and started the app again.

    So give it a try.

For me, clearing the recent files only lasted until I opened another file, then it happened again, and again.  So somewhere there must be a pointer saying to save the photo's on a disk, though I can't find where.

I came here with the same problem.  Being unwilling to burn down my entire CC installation or make a registry edit which amounts to putting tape over the check engine light, I am using the following workaround:

    1. Open PS and dismiss the error (mine popped up multiple times before relenting)

    2. File > Open Recent > Clear Recent File List

    3. Profit

In my case, the number of times the error dialog appeared corresponded with the number of images in my Recent Files list that were located on removable media that was no longer present.  For sure this is a bandaid, since removing an SD card should not cripple Photoshop like this.  However, as bandaids go, I'll take it over muting all Windows error dialogs.

I was having the same issue - reinstalled PS CC and it worked until I had to use my SD card.  This band-aid of clearing recent files does seem to work! Thank you! You are right it is just a band-aid - but I'll take it...

I came here with the same issue, however I need to note that the registry edit mentioned here is not wise. Modifying that could not notify you of other Windows errors, and could lead to bigger problems.

    Hi

Try reinstalling Photoshop using the Adobe Cleaner Tool

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

I have the same issue and uninstalling all of adobe CC as well as using the cleaner tool has had NO EFFECT. This error occurs with photoshop and illustrator, MULTIPLE times and is incredibly frustrating while at work. Any regedit solutions or update patches to solve this?

    Hi

Try this to see if it works, you'll need to go into the registry

    Go to this location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Windows

Double click on ErrorMode and change the value data from 0 to 2
