Certificate Problem

I downloaded the Adobe_Lens_Profile_Downloader.air software from the following site:

Adobe - Adobe Lens Profile Downloader : For Macintosh : Adobe Lens Profile Downloader 1.0.1 : Thank You

When I attempted to install and run the software I got the following error message:  "Sorry, an error has occurred.  The application cannot be installed due to a certificate problem.  The certificate does not match the installed application certificate, does not support application upgrades, or is invalid.  Please contact the application author."

I did contact Adobe Support and was told they only support Photoshop issues and this was not in their purview and that I should post the issue in Adobe Forum, which is precisely what I have done.  Any fixes?

P.S.--running on a Mac Pro, OSX 10.12.1 and a Chrome browser.

In order to install the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader on macOS Sierra follow these steps:

1. Download and install Adobe Air from here

    https://get.adobe.com/air/

2. Install the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader that you already downloaded.

Note: to install these things right click on the installers and then click on Open

You should also update Sierra to 10.12.2

I followed these instructions precisely and used the new Adobe Air app (version 24.0) to open the Lens Profile Downloader.  Got the same certificate error message.

It's also possible that your having trouble installing it because you haven't updated your macOS Sierra to 10.12.2

Apple fixed a lot of bugs including some install issues in 10.12.2

that's so old, the certificate probably expired.

i'm not sure that's even applicable to current photoshop, but i'll move this message so ps experts can opine.
