Change context menu?

Hi guys, i am trying to go from CS to CC and find it a bit annoying that many areas have been extremely inflated with options that I never use and therefore it is more difficult to find what I need. I often need the context menu for my workflows, in CS it was manageable, in CC it is sometimes a list that is far too long. I can change a lot of menus in CC, but not the context menu, or am I missing something?
Especially in my case, I'm talking about the layer context menu with 40 entries compared to not even 20 in CS.

I also find CC a lot slower than CS, especially standard elements such as the curves are totally laggy and slow 😞 - i5, GTX 1080, 24 GB Ram, latest Win 10 and CC Version.

Thank you very much for your help, unfortunately that doesn't help me any further, you will probably have to get used to it. Can you confirm the input-lag with the curves? I need them constantly, I mainly edit 40 MP images and I have to type in the values manually because the curves are totally sluggish. When I open the same picture in CS, the input is lag-free.

Photoshop now has a very useful search tool called Discover. Click on the magnifier icon in the top right corner, and start typing what you are looking for.

By the way, you can not edit context menu to shorten list. It is as it is. Photoshop is used by millions and team is listening what most of users want. There are customizations options for many but not for any option or menu.

Absolutely, you'll feel that you are good with the old version because you used to use it. But also you will find more new and easy features in the new versions. Time by time you will discover that it is better.
