Change in overall Colour/hue/saturation/contrast

Hello,

I have a reoccurring issue with projects in Photoshop.

The colour of a project will suddenly shift in hue, saturation and contrast if I open another window (internet, email etc.) on my laptop screen and then return to the project on my Cintiq.

Here's an example.

Screenshot 1.jpgScreenshot 2.jpg

As I return to the projects on my Wacom Cintiq, I see the whole thing visibly change colour. (No, undo doesn't do anything as I have not actually changed anything)

These are screenshots of the same project, the only thing I have changed between shots was the decoration size and an added water stain but the overall look had changed.

I had already noticed the change before making these edits though.

Another example.

The only thing changed between these shots is repositioning of the face and text, again I noticed the colour change before doing these edits so it has nothing to do with those changes.

It's not just a one time issue though, it can happen several times in the same projects and in between closing and opening of a project which is driving me up the wall.

The customers usually prefer the original colour, as do I, having intentionally made it that colour to start with and it is adding more time to my projects having to do these edits to try and correct it.

I have updated the Photoshop version, gone back a version etc to see if it's a bug in the newest version but it has made no difference.

The difference is visible on both the Cintiq screen and laptop screen so it doesn't appear to be my drawing tablet.

It's been at least six months, maybe more now that this problem has been happening.

It has happened repeatedly now in paid projects and if it continues to happen I will have to consider learning and using another software as I am paying monthly for a programme that doesn't work correctly and is adding hours to my work time each month.

Take a look through this thread on the feedback forum. I suspect it might be related.

There is a bug here somewhere, but no idea where. A workaround that seems to be effective is to make sure Photoshop is on the primary display (as set in the operating system).
