Channel layers glitching when using the zoom tool

Hello,

I recently updated my OS to Catalina, I noticed when using Photoshop that when I used the zoom tool on a channel layer I was getting a weird concentric box effect when I zoomed out (see attached). I thought maybe it could be a compatability issue with Catalina so updated my photoshop and gave access to Photoshop in Security & Privacy tabs, however I still have the same problem...

I have also noticed that the latest photoshop takes quite a while to load and quit.

I usually work with quite heavy files so would like to optimise my performance preferences to suit this.

Hope someone can help 🙂 Photoshop 2017.pngPhotoshop 2020.png

Hi there,

We're sorry for the performance issue. Which Mac OS version you are on now? Please turn on the "Legacy Compositing" from the Photoshop preferences > Performance tab, restart Photoshop, and let us know if that helps.

If the above step doesn't help, turn off the Graphics Processor from the Photoshop preferences > Performance tab, restart Photoshop.

Let us know the results.

Thanks,

Mohit
