Checkered pattern when drawing or erasing

I have a problem i have never encountered in erlier PS versions. whenever I use the brush or erase tool I get the png transparent pattern until i finish the whole stroke and relise the button. I have tried restarting both PS and my pc (win 11)

Hi @Wetterbro Go to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview and check “Disable Native Canvas”.
