Question

Cleaning up a transparency layer

I have extracted a green screen image and it looks great when it is on a transparency layer but once I load the image into the layered image (on a white background) certain areas show up that need to be cleaned up. My question is how do I keep my image as a transparent image but put white behind it to see area I need to clean up? I need it to stay transparent.

A technique I find useful in cleaning up clipped Layers is using Layer Masks (one can use Layer > Layer Mask > From Transparency if one simply erased previously), apply a Layer Style Stroke (set to »Outer«) and then use the Burn Tool (set to »Shadows«) to address the unwanted rests.

Add a Layer (for example Layer > New Fill Layer > Solid Color) and drag it behind the Layer in the Layers Panel.
