Clipping path not showing when opening on photoshop

Hi i am trying to create a clipping path on photoshop. I have created the path, renamed path and pressed "save path". Once i export this image and open on photoshop it dosen't seem to show the path. Can someone help please and let me know if i am missing a step? I can't seem to find what i am doing wrong.

    You need to Save As/Save As a Copy, not Export (which is only for devices, not print).
