Clone Stamp Issue

When I try to use my clone stamp tool a message pops up that says Could not use the clone stamp because the area to clone has not been defined.

I option click to define a source as I've been doing for years but something has changed and it's not working. I use this tool all the time and I'm stumped. Can someone help?

Thanks for your suggestions. It is working and I'm not sure what I did but I am very happy!

Hi

If you are cloning onto an empty layer set the sample options to Current and Below.

Note : You can also set the sample source to All layers but be aware it will not blend correctly if there are adjustment layers above the layer being sampled and stamped.
