Clone Stamp Lagging behind

The clone stamp normally takes a selection and stays parallel with wherever you are pasting that stamp. Lately, it will stay parallel for a few moments and then starts to lag behind and if I am scrolled in far enough and get far enough away, it will be completely out of sight when it should be in my line of sight the entire time.

I have no idea how or why but the clone stamp is working again! I was having another issue and Adobe support suggested that I open preferences>technology previews and select deactivate native canvas. I don't understand what that is for or if it's possible but perhaps that's what fixed both issues for me? In any case, thank you for your reply! If the issue comes back I will try your solution!

Hi @kimberly2242

Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:

Restore your preferences using this manual method:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually

Does it work correctly?

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
