Question

Clone stamp

When I use the clone stamp it makes a cloned line from my object at an angle heading up to the left. Never had this before. I have to add an inverted mask and paint the area I want cloned back in to do away with the unwanted cloned area. Any ideas what is going on? I checked all the setting nothing seems to be changed. Was ok before latest update.

Are you using s tsblet? If so, there should be an option for this in the Windows Control Panel. I have an old Wacom Intuos 3, and in my Control Panel, there's an entry for "Wacom Tablet Properies", and in the lower left of the dialog's "Mapping" tab, there's a box to check:

You may want to search the Internet for "Wintab Windows Ink".

This problem is affecting several tools since the latest update, mostly under Windows 7, but also Windows 10. Adobe are aware of the issue. There is a thread about this on the Photoshop Feedback Forum. The official response is:

Engineering is investigating this issue. If you're on Windows 7, you can roll back to the prior update following these instructions: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/install-previous-version.html Using Windows Ink instead of WinTab on Windows 10 will also avoid this problem.
