Closing photoshop or using the text tool will hard lock

When I open photoshop and try to use the text tool the programme will hard lock

After opening photosop and then clicking the X to close it, the programme will hard lock

 

I have updated my graphics drivers, deleted various font folders, deleted preferences, removed old versions, tried older versions of photoshop, nothing seems to work. 

 

The error I am recieving when trying to close photosop is:

I have also included the full log in case it can help. At a loss of what to do. I have to use task manager to close it and I lose all my work if I try to use the text tool, copy images into photoshop, or even close the programme.

 

MOR

  1.  Launch photoshop
  2. Press the X in the top left to close the programme
  3. Observe the programme hard locks

 

Photoshop version is: 26.9

 

Hardware:

NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti

X570 Aorus Elite motherboard

AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT 8-core

Monitor resolution 3840 x 2160

Hi @Zachariah_Johnson4098, sorry to hear about the issues you're having with Photoshop. 

Could you share your System Info? You can find it in Photoshop under Help > System Info. Just copy the info to a text file and attach it to your response, or share it with us through Google Drive, WeTransfer, or another file-sharing platform.

Hi @Zachariah_Johnson4098, thanks for sharing your System Info!

I didn’t spot anything unusual at first glance. Could you tell us a bit more about what’s happening? When you say the app hard locks, does it freeze completely? Are you seeing any error messages or dialogs? And does this happen with all fonts or just specific ones?

If you’re able to share a screen recording of the issue, that would be super helpful for taking a closer look.
