I am trying to figure out a way to make each point 1/2 white and 1/2 dark blue (rather than the entire thing being dark blue). Any suggestions? Thanks!
As c.pfaffenbichler mentioned, you're best bet would be to use shape layers clipped to your start layer. You can create one shape layer with the pen, then copy it and rotate it 90 degrees. By placing the axis point on the middle of your blue star, you should not have to realign the other copies of the shape layer, and if you use on win alt-ctrl-shift-T, you can duplicate and rotate the third and fourth copies. I left the 4th copy unclipped, so you can see the shape I made. Make guides to help draw the shape in alignment with your blue star. To clip, hold the alt/opt key and click between the blue star layer and the shape layer. You can add clipped layers to the blur star layer, by click between the previous shape layer and the one you want to clip, using the alt/opt key.
Thank you. I am not at all familiar with doing this technique. Would you be able to provide the steps to achieve this or a good resource? Thanks a lot!
