Color in "Photoshop Print Settings" dialog are very off. So are prints.

I'm getting pretty dramatically different colors in the Photoshop Print Settings box that appears when going to File>Print. Loss of saturation and heavy green tint. See screenshot below.

That's bad enough but making matters worse is that the resulting print resembles the color in the preview, rather than the original file.

This is the first time I'm attempting to print from Photoshop in a few years and I'm also running a new machine and a newer version of PS since I last printed. Point is, something may be set up incorrectly.

Any ideas what's causing this?

Many thanks!

First of all you should check the way Photoshop is rendering the image and choose CMYK and of course check the color proof.

This to ensure that Photoshop is showing you something nearer to the printed truth and not a screen RVB rendering.

Check also that the colors match the printing standards of your workflow and according to your OS that your screen is correctly calibrated.

The for printing you could try to uncheck black point compensation and also change the color intent

Tnis could help but the truth is you will never get the very same image on screen tha on paper since the color spaces are not the same and on paper there is no luminosity as on screen.
