Hi guys! I have a question and maybe I am losing my mind.

First, I bring my photos into LightRoom to cull and color correct. Then I export to Adobe Photoshop 2023 to do my main editing. Here's the thing. I have not changed my settings in LR but when I bring it into Photoshop, the top file name says RGB not sRGB and I am 'almost' positive it used to say sRGB (maybe I am wrong?). The bottom left corner does say the color profile is srgb BUT when I click on that link it is then showing RGB. I am attaching photos to see if someone could help or just tell me i'm crazy.lr settings.jpegsrgb3.jpegsrgb2.jpegsrgb1.jpeg

The document's color space is always correctly specified in the status bar (lower left corner). That's the one you can trust.

The top title bar just indicates color mode, but the actual color space is unspecified.

D Fosse is correct. RGB is the color mode (Image > Mode), sRGB is the color space (Edit > Assign Profile/Convert to Profile).

In each color mode (RGB, CMYK…) there can be multiple color spaces (gamuts).

In the RGB mode, you might be using sRGB, Adobe RGB, ProPhoto RGB, or other color spaces.

In CMYK mode, you might be using SWOP CMYK, FOGRA CMYK, or other color spaces.

When a document says it is in RGB mode set to the sRGB color space, it’s a little like saying you live in New York State, in New York City: They sound almost the same, but there is no conflict, because they are different things.

@sallysalerno524 as others have explained, you are confusing the colour mode (which in this case is RGB) and the colour profile (that’s the ICC profile which defines the colour space of your file) - what is shown in the info window of Photoshop IS the ICC profile, so it looks like you're fine, your image is sRGB.

I hope this helps
