Hello,

I have Photoshop on two different computers. On one device, I have a beautiful display of many colors under my swatches as shown below (which I'll call device 1):

However, on the other device (whcih I'll call device 2) this is what I have:

How the heck do I get the disolay I have on device 1?

I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday!

The version with the array of color swatches is running 23.1.0.

The version with the lack of display is running version 21.2.3

I had been using Photoshop on device 1 for quite some time and I remember I had to do something (just don't remember what) to get the display of colors like that).

Open the folders, to show the swatches inside them. Select all the swatches in a folder (NOT the folder itself) and drag them out of the folder. As you drag them up and down the panel, you'll see the insertion point displayed; put them up at the top of the panel, just below the "recently used" section.

Once they're all there, you can then select and drag them around to get just the arrangement you want, as well as changing the size of the swathes and the width of the panel. Hint: if your panel is sixteen swatches wide, colors that are the same hue will line up vertically.

You must do manual work as explained by @Semaphoric  if you want same or similar swatches layout, there isn't built in feature to use legacy swatches panel.

it will be easiest and recommended to use the exact same Version of Photoshop on each computer and the same Creative Cloud login and sync your settings.... that way it will look the same in both.

You are allowed to have one version on your laptop and 2nd version on your desktop.

Hope that helps.

Merry Christmas!
