Colors wash out when exporting JPG

I am trying to create a flyer for an event that´s comming up, so since I´ll print it I used CMYK. Long story short, on Photoshop colors look good but when I export it as .JPEG all the colors wash out (black turns gray). I´ve tried changing the color profile to ProRGB and sRGB, adding a black layer on top of it and using lighter color blend mode see if that could help but none of them.

I thought it could´ve been my screen so I calibrated it but when I screenshot it, colors look good, and when I save it all colors fade. I also tried changing from CMYK to RGB and see if that changes anything but same result. 

Has this happened to any of you guys before? Is there any solution?

Stay in RGB throughout. CMYK is for commercial offset print. If printed on a desktop inkjet, you should always be in RGB. Very few applications outside Photoshop have proper support for CMYK anyway, and certainly no consumer-oriented photo viewers.

 

Start from scratch again, and convert your file to sRGB if it isn't already. Go to Edit > Convert to Profile, and if "source profile" says anything other than sRGB IEC61966-2.1, convert to that. It will be correctly handled almost everywhere.

    Thank you! It will be printed but I had no idea if printed on an inkjet I should use RGB, thought every time something was intented to be printed it should be on CMYK. Thanks a lot, it worked just great, appreciate it.
